1. Ultradent Boost: This method of whitening the teeth can be conveniently done in the office in about 1 hour. We place a sealer to cover the gums and do three applications of the bleaching gel on the teeth. Occasionally a second visit of about 30 minutes is needed, depending how dark the teeth are when we start.
2. Ultradent Opalescence & Bleach Trays: Another way is by using custom-made trays that will hold bleaching gel against the teeth. The trays are similar to mouth guards only made with a thinner material.  We usually suggest wearing the trays about 90 minutes per day with the majority of the whitening occurring after just 10-12 days. We suggest wearing the trays for another 3-4 days to get the most bleaching possible. It should take about 15-20 hours total of wearing the bleach trays.
3. Our office can also provide professional strength Crest Whitening strips. The strips should be work 30 minutes at a time, twice a day. This method takes 3 weeks for completion. There are a total of 84 strips per box (42 for the top teeth, 42 for the bottom).

**It should be noted that whitening toothpaste does not bleach teeth. This type of toothpaste has more abrasives in it which are better at removing surface stains on the teeth. So really, they are not whitening the teeth.
