If you work for an insurance company, or have dealt with an insurance company, it is easy to understand how confusing communication can be with them.
We are doing a thorough administrative review regarding your dental benefit PPO insurance company. Every few years we look at the insurance we accept and evaluate the discounting of our fees that the company requires to be an ‘in network’ or ‘participating’ dentist in the PPO plan.
We are working with your insurance company to establish an acceptable fee schedule for both us and the company. But this takes time to negotiate and must go through several management levels at the insurance company to be approved.
This is expected to take about 1-3 months to complete.
You have likely been contacted by your dental insurance company and told that Drs. King and Lickteig are no longer in network or participating dentists. This is part of the negotiating process.
We are confident that we will be ‘in network’ dentists when this done.
In the meantime, we will continue to accept your PPO’s present fee schedule, and file claims with it.
